About Cuendillar MUSH

Cuendillar MUSH is a science-fiction/fantasy game based loosely on Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series. In book two, The Great Hunt and in Robert Jordan's The World of the Wheel of Time, there are objects called Portal Stones that allow travel into differing dimensions, times, and even planets.

Cuendillar is one of those dimensional worlds, but in its own way. Because of this, you may see plotlines that resemble those in the books, but you will not see characters from the books ever played here; with the exception of Forsaken, who will be used for various plotting elements.

If you are familiar with the storyline, you will note that the various timeline aspects of our game do not follow the books, and in fact we've had several deviant plots. Included in this set of pages are various bits and pieces of information which you should find helpful in getting to know the game and what we're all about - as well as finding a place to settle down.

Timeline of Events
Cuendillar has its own unique timeline of events. This timeline starts in the year 992 NE, when the game started, and continues to current date. This is a file that will always likely need updating, though feel free to look through it.

Open Areas

Cuendillar has several open areas available for roleplay on the game. Those areas are Andor, Cairhien, Children of the Light, Tar Valon, and the White Tower. We've limited the scope to these areas because there's a need to keep things to a reasonable size, and to allow the opportunity for player growth.

Each open area has their own set of webpages that players may review. Included in the webpages are cultural aspects of each area, as well as some things players might come to expect out of each group.

Andor
Andor is a nation which has been a matriarchal society for nearly 3000 years. It has been run by a Queen and only a Queen in that time. They pride themselves in being more open and honest, and publically decrie political maneuverings - though some Andorans try to be sneaky and play minor versions of the Game of Houses.
Cairhien
Where Andor is more relaxed, Cairhien is the exact opposite. This nation is wrought with political maneuverings, and believe themselves to the foremost players of the Great Game, Daes Dae'mar. They are fond of poisonings and assassinations; and while the classes are divided in the favor of the nobles, commoners often play a part in eliminating those who are in their way.
Children of the Light
The Children of the Light are a fanatical group that applies their principles and values of the 'Way of the Light' to anything and everything. They see themselves as the Dark's foremost enemy; and anything standing in their way is sure to get run down. Yet, they believe what they do is for a good cause, and while they often help others out, they are usually misunderstood for the shadier things they may do.
Tar Valon
Tar Valon is the metropolis of the Wheel of Time era. This is the place where merchants converge to sell their wares, and Game of Houses runs thick through the city, even without a native nobility. They are goverened by a High Ambassador who answers to the Amyrlin Seat, titular ruler of the White Tower and Tar Valon.
White Tower
The White Tower is where those women who show an ability or afinity for 'magic' go to train their strengths and weaknesses, and where those warriors who wish to fight alongside such women train. They are often times at odds with the Children of the Light, though sometimes share the same views whether or not they wish to admit it. The White Tower is steeped in political dealings and has their hands in everything from what one has had for dinner to the most minute political dealings from other nations.
