Though smaller, the Blue ajah is considered one of the most influential within the Tower. It is primarily devoted to causes thought worthy enough for Aes Sedai attention, paying special attention to cases that promote justice. Aes Sedai of this Ajah proven to be skilled political manipulators, and make good adminstrators.

The Brown Ajah is all about seeking and preserving knowledge, its members often times forsaking mundane life to dedicate themselves to this task. Through the procurement of age old books and scrolls, the Brown's continously add to the vast collection within the Tower library, the world's largest repository of information. The Browns are responsibile for discovering many of the hidden Talents through their vast research.

Sisters of the Gray Ajah are prized among the nations. They are most often sought to oversee and mediate treaties between varying kingdoms, to ensure those treaties will hold. While those nations are often times fearful that the Tower might try to further its own goals through such negotations, these Sisters are the most prized for their skill at keeping harmony and consensus.

Known as the Battle Ajah, Greens are some of the fiercest fighters against the Dark. All members of the Green Ajah hold themselves ready for the Last Battle, Tarmon Gai'don, constantly practicing and keeping their skills honed; often travelling to the Blight to do this. Aes Sedai of this Ajah may bond more than one warder, and may take as many as three or four, not believing in the limitations set by the other Ajah and finding the extra help can make a difference.

By far the largest group in the Tower, the Red Ajah actively seek out men who can channel and touch the True Source, bringing them to the Tower to be gentled; to prevent another breaking of the world. Reds do not bond any warders, often distrustful of men, though most believing it would interfere with their work. Sisters of the Red Ajah are particularly known for discovering novices in their travels.

In the whole of the Tower, the Whites are the only Ajah known not to take on Eyes and Ears. Sisters of the White are the least likely to leave the Tower, avoidly worldly knowledge and preferring to keep themselves cloistered away to study philosopy and to entertain their encompassing search for truth.

Yellow Ajah

Sisters of the Yellow Ajah are dedicated to curing the sick and Healing the injured. Their prime goal is to discover new cures and methods with the One Power to help the ailing and restore them to good health. Most Yellows forsake the use of herbal remedies, believing the Power to be the supreme enterprise in Healing.
