The Aes Sedai within the Tower are composed of two heirarchies; that defined by position, and that defined by individual status. The heirarchy defined by individual status is used more in a day-to-day fashion, determining who takes precedence in a situation or scenario. For example, two Aes Sedai meet in a town and discover that both are working on the same mission or project. The Sedai who has the highest status would naturally be the one who takes over and coordinates the efforts. The starting status score is based on many factors. Those factors include how long an Aes Sedai has been a full sister, a power score modifier, talent modifiers, positions held, and whether or not they were a wilder. Scores can be increased through activity in the Tower: raisings, classes, heading study groups, heading missions, creating and executing plots, gainging a position within the Tower or govermental structure, and discovering students. Consequently, scores can also be decreased for: failed missions and studies, breaking Tower laws and customs, and inactivity. The penalty for inactivity is cumulative. This may seem harsh, however all it takes to keep the penalty from being incurred at all is teaching at least one class to the students per month. Keeping active in the Tower is an important venture within an Aes Sedai's life. She gets seen and heard, and gets her ideas spoken freely. Those with a higher status take precendence over those with a lower status in daily activities. ICly, only Aes Sedai would be aware of the 'internal' pecking order. Students, Gaidin and visitors would treat all Aes Sedai the same, equally. Positive Factors:
