Those wishing to become warder trainees need to go through the character generation system prior to roleplaying this concept. Trainees are offered vast opportunities to improve some of their skills without the need to spend EXP points to do so. When trainee characters are approved, they will be added to the Tower rosters as 'Undiscovered Trainees'. It is the responsibility of the potential trainee to seek out admittance into the Tower training program. Once they are inducted, their position will be changed on the 'tow .who' to Trainee. Warder trainees must be inducted into the Tower before they can start taking lessons in the training program. Each trainee will be expected to complete several sets of combat lessons and general classes before they may take the test to raise to the Sworn Level. Weapons Classes:
Roster Context: +tclass, +tclass2 (T1) Orientation (T2) Slashing Weapons (Sword) (T3) Basic Unarmed Combat (T4) Bows (T5) Polearms - Pending Revisions (T6) Throwing Knives (T7) Piercing Weapons (T8) Bludgeoning Weapons (T9) Meditation & Concentration (Void Training) General Classes: In addition to the various weapons classes, trainees must also choose four general classes (G1-G4). The general classes taken may be of the student's choosing, so long as they are on the list of appropriate classes for trainees to take. Roster Context: +tgen
Each trainee must pass a basic competency test before he can be raised to the Sworn level. The test is comprised of a series of sparring matches, testing the student's ability to use the various weapon styles, as well as how well he can maintain focus and concentration on his task. Should a trainee pass the required tests, he is initiated among the Sworn. NOTE: Please be advised that completion of classes does not mean you will be Raised. Raisings are dependant upon activity, productivity, participation within the Tower, theme knowledge, and general conduct. You have less chances of being Raised if you are not actively participating in Tower events. The 'Sword Forms' are no longer part of the trainee program. It was felt that they were not getting the 'well rounded' education that Warders would receive in the Tower by focusing on a single weapon. However, trainees still wishing to persue learning the 'Sword Forms' are more than welcome to do so. This extra training will be considered 'extra' credit toward the student's raising. For every 'Tier' he completes, he will be accredited accordingly for his sword skill. Those trainees that started out with the 'Sword Form' program and only have a few forms left to complete their requirements may continue to RP through that program. When they are raised to the Sworn level, they will need to use the new lessons outline for the Sworn - focusing on receiving a more rounded education. | ||
